ANP CLINIC

Are you worried about your symptoms?

Here are the some most common complaints seen in primary care clinics every day, and solutions for you to try before calling your GP. You can manage these symptoms easily at home.

I will give you more information about the symptoms and conditions, go through the most common causes and what you can try to do at home to feel better. I will also go through red flag symptoms, those warning signs that tell you when you need to call your doctor straight away.

Please note that I am happy for any feedback and suggestion.

I will go through general advice for each of these complaints. The reason for this is that I want to do my share to help ease the pressure my colleagues are facing in GP surgeries. We have become too medicalised and think that we need medication when we don’t. Many of us have grown up thinking that we need medication for the smallest, minor issues or chronic symptoms. Most often we don’t. We all have a strong, amazing body, that can heal, if we just give it a chance to do so.

In addition to acute symptoms (please note that this list is new and growing…), your can also find information and help for some of the most common chronic symptoms. These are chronic abdominal symptoms, insulin resistance (including type 2 diabetes) and mental issues such as anxiety. We go through dietary issues but also talk about stress. Very often the cause of not only mental, but also physical chronic symptom is a previous trauma in our own life, of even that of the previous generation (epigenetics). Understanding how a past event can affect the present situation can help you ease your chronic symptoms - alongside good lifestyle measures. These are courses that contain a lot of information and have required a lot of work from me which is why there is a small charge. This charge will enable me to continue my work, and help as many of you as possible.

It is time we all start to take control of our own health and stop relying on prescribed medication. This will also help our GPs by giving them time to look after those who really need medical help. Read more about why this is important here.

Each of these health complaints info page explain the symptoms, reason for the symptoms and how to treat them. I will also go through the most common ‘warning signs’, when you have to call your own GP to arrange an in person assessment.

Even if you need to contact your GP, you still need to know how to look after yourself, after seeing your doctor.

These ‘mini-courses’ contain a lot of information the same I would give you if you were seeing my in my face to face clinic.

Please note that this service is only starting. The amount of different complaints is growing.
